Hanover, June 12, 2008 – On June 11 Forbo Siegling completed its two weeks at the Drupa.
From May 29 we had a 69 mē stand at the leading international fair for printed media.
A total of 1,971 exhibitors from 52 countries showed the 391,000 visitors from 138 nations
a wide range of technological innovations and new product ideas in the 19 halls.
The fair saw slightly few visitors than in 2004. However, the share of visitors from
overseas increased by over 43 percent. As a result, Drupa has proved its international
appeal which benefited our multi-lingual team (for example from Japan, China and India).
Apart from in-depth discussions with interested parties, competitors and customers
from all over the world, a number of new contacts were made. Similarly to 2004, the
proportion of foreign visitors was above the Drupa average. At approx. 20%, the majority
of foreign visitors came from Asia.
Our new layboy tapes with innovative HighGrip coating attracted a great deal of interest.
The belts have very good grip, increasing the reliability of the machinery, as well as the quality
of the goods conveyed. These types of coated belts are ideal for conveying products in nearly all
areas of the paper, printing and packaging industry.
The new box-folding belts with a grey rubber coating were just as popular.
They are used in manufacturing cardboard boxes and corrugated cardboard and tissue products.
The date for the next Drupa has already been set for May 3 to 16, 2012.
